Lee McDonald

Lee McDonald leads Business Communications at Ibiza Calm, where she oversees the centre’s blogs, newsletters, website content, social media, events, and wider communications strategy, helping to shape and communicate Ibiza Calm’s voice and ethos across its digital platforms and community outreach.

Lee has over three decades of experience across marketing, communications, commercial, and finance roles within a wide range of industries, including radio, healthcare, engineering, banking, investments, non-profits, property management, and real estate.

Following a move to Spain and a transition away from corporate life, Lee joined Ibiza Calm in 2021 in search of a more values-led and balanced way of working. Prior to this, she built a diverse international career across commercial, business development, finance, and marketing environments.

After initially studying journalism and spending several years working within the NHS, Lee went on to work in a variety of communications and commercial roles, developing extensive experience in business development, client relations, copywriting, content creation, and brand communications.

Lee holds an NCTJ-accredited Diploma in Journalism, an HND in Advanced Copywriting, Proofreading and Copyediting, and a Diploma in SEO and Content for Websites and Digital Platforms. She has also completed accredited training in several finance specialties including bookkeeping, payroll, and company accounts.

Outside of Ibiza Calm, Lee enjoys spending time with family, spending time in nature, reading, and caring for several rescue pets.
