Up until my stay at Ibiza Calm last year, my life was spinning out of control. I’m not proud of the way my life was, but if this review can help just one person, then I’m happy to share my experience. I was drinking every day—lunchtime at work, evenings after work, and weekends with friends (the few I had left). But I kidded myself it was ok because I also held down a fabulous, well-paid job.

I was in so much physical pain that I was taking far more painkillers than my prescription was covering, so I ended up buying online (Amitriptyline and Pregabalin). Little did I know it was actually the alcohol that was causing my pain (or maybe I did know but didn’t want to face the idea of having to stop). Either way, I then became addicted to the painkillers as well as the alcohol.

The upshot is: I lost my job, my children refused to let me see my grandchildren, and it was pointed out that in their short lives they had never seen me sober. I’d like to say that was enough to make me get my life back on track, but it wasn’t. Eventually, after a very heavy night on the wine, I took one too many painkillers and ended up in hospital (I’m surprised this hadn’t happened before). My son visited me in hospital with all the information about Ibiza Calm, and, as they say, the rest is history.

From the surroundings, the rooms, the food, and the wonderful, wonderful staff, I have to thank everyone involved in helping to put me back together. I had tried so many times before without success. I cannot recommend this place and the staff highly enough. I know they say “never say never,” but I am 100% confident I will never need their services again. I am now whole for the first time in many, many years.

Thanks to Ibiza Calm, I now have all my family around me, and I’m looking forward to the best Christmas ever.
