Inside the Ibiza Calm experience: a day in treatment
Contents
Entering treatment is a significant step towards change, and one that deserves to be met with compassion and clarity. At Ibiza Calm, we recognise that taking this step can raise many questions, particularly around what daily life in residential rehab looks like. This guide provides an overview of the structure and therapeutic rhythm of a typical day at our private treatment centre, on the beautiful Spanish Balearic island of Ibiza.
A setting for transformation

Our estate is located in a peaceful, rural area in the north of the island, a short drive from picturesque villages and beaches known for their clear turquoise water and unforgettable sunsets.
Many clients also speak of Ibiza’s unique healing energy, long associated with the island’s natural beauty and restorative tranquillity, which can enhance emotional and psychological recovery.
The property is built in the style of a traditional Ibicencan castle and sits within 13 hectares of Mediterranean gardens filled with palms, citrus, and olive trees.
Clients stay in private, single-occupancy, en-suite rooms, with several communal areas and dedicated therapy rooms designed to encourage calm, comfort, and honest conversation. The grounds offer space to walk, reflect, and unwind, creating an atmosphere that supports rest and recovery.
Support from the moment you arrive
Your stay with us begins the moment you reach Ibiza. A member of our team will meet you at the airport and bring you directly to the clinic. For clients who feel unable to travel independently, we can arrange specialist travel and companion support. One of our trained sober companions can collect you from home and accompany you safely to the centre.
Detox and medical care
For some clients, treatment begins with detoxification. This is the safe removal of alcohol or drugs from the body under medical supervision. When a person has been using substances heavily or for a long period of time, stopping suddenly can lead to withdrawal symptoms, which can sometimes be serious.
Detox at Ibiza Calm is overseen by our Medical Director, Dr Manuel Rodriguez, and our team of doctors and nurses. Every detox plan is individually designed, ensuring safety, comfort, and careful monitoring throughout.
Therapeutic care and psychological healing
True recovery involves more than physical stabilisation. It includes exploring the emotional, psychological, and behavioural factors that contribute to dependency or distress. Clients take part in a combination of one-to-one counselling, group sessions, workshops, and evidence-based therapies to support long term healing.

We offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), which is a highly regarded therapy for trauma and emotional processing. Alongside this, our upgraded TMS suite provides both TMS and iTBS treatments, designed to support clients with depression, addiction, and related conditions. For more details on our TMS service, please see our dedicated blog: The power of TMS and iTBS in treating depression and addiction
Equine-facilitated therapy is also available weekly. This experiential approach helps clients develop emotional regulation, trust, and confidence through structured interaction with horses.
The Ibiza Calm programme
Our treatment approach is designed to provide options that meet the needs of a wide range of clients. We offer three core programme types:
Individual care
This programme is designed as an accessible yet comprehensive option for clients seeking personalised support. It includes structured sessions, psychological input, and access to the full clinical and wellbeing programme.
Full bespoke programme
This is tailored for clients who require flexibility without compromise. It includes one-to-one sessions, optional group participation, and a schedule designed around personal and professional commitments.
La Casita programme

La Casita is a separate, standalone residence located within our private estate. It provides total privacy, anonymity, and an enhanced level of personalised care. It is ideal for individuals who need complete discretion, a dedicated therapeutic team, and a more secluded environment.
